This testimony hit home. It uplifted me and challenged me at the same time. It felt like she was speaking to my current season. Our first interaction was on LinkedIn and through the screen, her bright smile was a shining beam of joy, hope and gladness. I also had the privilege of being in the same room at one of the Kingdom Woman events as she received an award. Encounters that have led to connection. God works in mysterious ways for sure.
Violette Nduku Wambua is a woman of many things- entrepreneur, connector, dreamer, and, most importantly, a woman of faith. But she is also a plarent (listen, I keep adding new vocabulary to my brain bank daily), trying to keep three plants alive–so far so good! Beyond the greenery, she’s the powerhouse behind Networking In Heels, a platform that empowers women to build meaningful relationships for career and business success. But let’s be real– this journey has not been all stilettos and sunshine. Violette has been through some serious valleys before stepping into purpose.
The Ezekiel 37 Moment- When Dry Bones Come Alive
Ever been in a season so dry ( btw I just spoke about this on my previous podcast episode “ Spiritual Seasons) you could practically hear the crickets? That was Violette (also how cool is her name!). After an eight year hiatus, God made it clear– bring back the women empowerment events. But how? She had no plan, no resources, and no idea where to start.
Then something crazy happened, God started assembling the exact people and resources she needed–the sponsors, the guests, the media coverage, even the dress and shoes she wore at the relaunch event on December 14, 2023. (We serve a big God ya'll)
It was straight out of Ezekiel 37, where God tells the prophet to speak to the dry bones, and suddenly, they rise as a mighty army. Listennn….can you imagine how much audacious faith you need to have to speak to bones and not just ordinary, fresh bones but DRY bones?! That’s what happened. Everything fell into place, like God had been waiting for her to simply say yes. And when the day came? Raving reviews. Proof that when God calls he equips.
Faith & Business- Learning To Listen To God’s Whisper
Faith in business is easy when things are going well. But what about when the too-good-to-be-true deals land in your inbox? Violette has learned (sometimes the hard way) that not every shiny opportunity is from God. Some of them are well disguised traps. You know the enemy can’t help himself but try to derail you off your path. It’s his specialty but nothing, not even him, can overshadow God’s plan.
Over time, she mastered to, some extent, the art of waiting on God. If something looks too good. She prays ( Pretty solid game plan don’t you think?). If there’s even the tiniest check in her spirit, she walks away. And you know what? That obedience has saved her from serious losses, while leading her to divine connections she never saw coming.
Moral of the story: If you keep asking God should I? How will I do this? Is this even possible? This is your sign!
The Juggle Is Real–Finding Balance Without Losing Your Mind
Leading Networking In Heels, handling a demanding career in sales & marketing, and maintaining a personal life? Let’s just say Violette is no stranger to holy exhaustion. There were days when burnout was inevitable–when she questioned if she could do it all.
Her game-changer? Prioritization, delegation and boundaries. She embraced self-care (yes, naps count), surrounded herself with a strong support system, and learned that saying no is not spiritual warfare. Most importantly, she stopped measuring success by the world’s standards and started celebrating small wins— because every step forward is a step towards God’s purpose.
Kingdom Business—It’s Bigger Than Your Paycheck
For Violette, business isn’t about profits—it’s Kingdom Business. It’s about creating impact, shifting atmospheres, and being a vessel for God’s will in the marketplace. Success is no longer about career milestones, financial wins, or accolades. It’s about legacy, faith and bringing people closer to their God given purpose.
She learned that when business is rooted in faith, it becomes a “ministry.” (I hope you are aware that God’s idea of ministry is not limited to behind the pulpit in a church.) Every client, partnership and opportunity is a divine assignment. It’s not just about transactions—it’s about transformation.
By prioritizing integrity, service and purpose over profit, Violette ensures that her work not only provides for her but also glorifies God. Because at the end of the day, the real bottom line is building God’s kingdom, not just our own success.
Parenthood–Seeing God Through Eyes of a Child
Motherhood has wrecked her–in the best way possible (said any mother ever Weuw…). It has taught her the depth of unconditional love, patience and trust (put heavy exclamation of PATIENCE lol). Watching her little ones grow has given her a glimpse of how God nurtures us, even when we don’t understand the process.
She’s become more intentional—about the company she keeps, the prayers she prays, and the legacy she’s building. Because if there’s one thing she learned, it’s this: little eyes are always watching. Children are more observant and curious than we give them credit for and they literally absorb everything like a sponge.
The Advice She’d Give Her Younger Self? “ God’s Timing is Everything.”
If she’d go back in time, she’d tell herself to stop rushing, stop comparing and trust that God’s timing is perfect.
Isaiah 60:22 “ When the time is right, I the Lord, will make it happen”
There were moments she doubted, moments she rushed decisions, and moments she felt behind. But now? She sees that every delay had purpose. Every struggle built resilience. Every detour led her to something greater. The waiting season was never a waste but it was preparation.
What Keeps Her Going? FAITH. PURPOSE.PEOPLE
When things get tough and they surely do get tough, Violette holds onto three things:
FAITH— Knowing that God is always at work, even when she can’t see it.
PURPOSE— The mission to empower women and make an impact keeps her focused.
PEOPLE— Her support system, her family, and the women she serves remind her why she started.
Final Word–Dream Big, Because God Calls Things Into Existence
Romans 4:17 “...the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not..”
If God has placed a dream in your heart, He has already given you what you need to achieve it. Don’t be afraid to speak life over your vision, step out in faith, and trust He will make a way.
Dare to dream big—because God’s plans for you are even bigger.
